Dr Badruddin holds M.A. Double  (Sociology & Political Science),  Diploma in Journalism, M.Phil and  Ph.D  in  International   Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi,  and is presently  working as an Associate Professor  in Political Science, PES’s    Ravi  Sitaram  Naik  College of Arts & Science,  Farmagudi,  Ponda,  Goa,  affiliated to Goa University. He has  25 years of teaching experience both at UG  and PG  levels.  He was   a Visiting Professor and Chair  at Osh State University, Kyrgyzstan deputed by ICCR, New Delhi, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India for a period of six  months. He was also a  short  term  ‘Visiting Scholar’  at East China Normal  University, Shanghai. He was a visiting faculty, Goa University, Department of Political Science from 1999 to 2009,  and Guest Faculty, Academic Staff College, Goa University to deliver lectures under Study India Programme (SIP) in  collaboration with  Nihon University,  Japan for two semesters.  He was also designated by ICCR, New Delhi as a visiting professor and chair in International Relations at Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu,  Nepal   for one year.

He has presented  24  papers  in  international conferences  including U.K. and  Malaysia,  25   papers  at  national and 03 at  state level conferences  and seminars in India. Some full papers and abstracts were also accepted in Saudi Arabia, Iran, UAE, Turkey, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Russia, Indonesia, Thailand and  Hong Kong. He   has  distinction of  publishing  45  research papers, 02   books  and  several  reviews. He has also  completed   several short term and long term professional  and  academic  courses like  Arabic, Portuguese, Research Methodology, International Relations, Human Rights, Personnel Management, Stress Management, Right to Information, Sustainable Development, Pension and Retirement Benefits,   and Citizens’ Services. Besides,  he  also completed two UGC funded  research projects and   chaired several sessions in international,  national and state level conferences in India and abroad. He   delivered public lectures, organized and coordinated  national, state,  local level seminars and lectures on various themes  like human rights, child rights, women issues, environment, Diaspora and migration.  He is also  a   Coordinator (Syllabus Review Committee & Certificate Course in Human Rights),  Subject  Expert (Political Science),  Convener (Students Parliament)  and  member of Scientific Committee for International Conference on Communication and Media  (University  of  North  Malaysia),  Langkawi,  Malaysia.     He is also  a  member of Board of Studies (Goa University), Observer and Speaker for several  youth programmes  and  a life member  of various academic and professional bodies. He is   actively associated  with   several  editorial and review  committees, as a key note  speaker, resource person in   various streams and extensively travelled in India and abroad to undertake academic and professional assignments of interdisciplinary interest.  He has also been  conferred  with  Bharat  Gaurav  (India Shining)  Award   by India International Friendship Society (IIFS),  New Delhi  for  meritorious services, outstanding  performance and remarkable role.
